SPRING CLASS SCHEDULE

SPRING 2010

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT CLASSES

All classes are held at our store location at 19 Sugar Hollow Road in Danbury, Connecticut, unless otherwise indicated.  For driving directions, please go to our directions page.  Class sizes are limited, so please register early.  You may register by phone or in person at our store.  Full payment is required at time of registration.  We accept cash, personal checks, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover cards.  Store credit will be issued for cancellations within five days of the first class session.  All materials and supplies must be purchased before the first class session unless otherwise stated.  A sewing machine is required for sewing and quilting classes and basic familiarity with its operation is assumed.  FabricTree reserves the right to cancel any class with insufficient enrollment within five days of the first class session.

 

SEWING CLASSES

Sewing for Young People - Jo Ann Brown
Young people ages 10 & up have an opportunity to learn to sew small projects, clothing, easy home decorating, and crafts.

Thursday 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. is limited to four per class.
$25.00 each OR six for $125

Pillow Class - Anita Ayoob
This much sought after class is available again.  Come & learn how to add your own signature touch to your décor by making corded piping, inserting a zipper the correct way and putting your pillow together.  Class size is limited; don’t miss out!

Adult Sewing – Michele Kwiatkowski
Come to a choice of three classes to learn how to sew simple projects by using patterns. Learn to follow the codes & markings to create simple garments, tote bags, placemats or other accessories. This class does not focus on large home decorating projects.

Adult Sewing – Jo Ann Brown
Learn to use patterns, make garments, work on unfinished, simple home decorating and quilting projects; no complex/large home decorating items, please.

Make Friends with Your Sewing Machine
Did you get a new sewing machine for Christmas?  Has one been sitting in the box for too long?  Learn the parts, threading and how to use it in this class.

QUILTING CLASSES

Pioneer Braid - Hilda Downing
Back by request, this is a wonderful scrap quilt for leftover pieces. Swap with others for greater variety.  It makes a great throw or larger for beds.

Braid Runner-Jo Ann Brown
A repeat of a very popular class, the Braid Runner is an amazing project.  Quilt as you go, you can showcase any medley of fabrics or choose your own.  Spend a couple winter Sundays learning a new technique and ideas for quick, impressive gifts.  Pattern req’d.

Napali Hat-Jo Ann Brown
What is color dominance?  Central double decrease?  Make one from the left side of the stitch below?  You’ll learn these things and complete a most unusual hat that makes its own earflaps.
